SUSTAINABILITY AND WHAT IT MEANS FOR EVENT MANAGEMENT AND YOUR BUSINESS

Sustainability will dramatically shape the future of the events industry.  Catering, styling, entertainment, venues, gifts, concepts and design will all be evaluated in terms of their carbon footprint and their corporate and social responsibility.  It is not simply a matter of "green themes" and carbon offsetting.  Effective strategies are needed to meet the increasing requirements of sustainability and to attract and comply with corporate sponsors and event stakeholders.

Creative ideas, innovation, collaboration and the willingness to challenge some traditional current business practices and adopt a holistic triple bottom line approach to sustainability will ensure your future. In this session you will gain a holistic understanding of what sustainability really means for your business and why it is such a critical issue for the events industry but also an inspiring creative, competitive and contributive opportunity.
