It will cover the basics of constructing a realistic budget including how to calculate fixed and variable costs. AV EXPOSED - EXPLAINING THE LANGUAGE OF AV QUOTESFind out how to interpret quotes and understand variances between quotations; Learn how to write a brief so you can compare ‘apples with apples’. PRESENTERKeith Wootton, Managing Director, AV1 Audiovisual Production Keith has spent 19 years in the music and events industry, occupying various roles from technician to business manager. He has been heavily involved in the Australian meetings and events industry, spending four years on the MEA NSW Branch Committee, two as Branch Chair. Keith is still an active MEA member, and speaks regularly at professional development sessions Kealan Coleman, AFMEA, Production Manager, AV1 Audiovisual Production Kealan has been working in the events & entertainment industry for over ten years. Starting out in Ireland as a performing musician, he very quickly found himself working as a live sound engineer, studio owner, stage manager and production manager on festivals, concerts and events. Kealan is a Production Manager at AV1, where he specialises in national roadshows. Kealan is also a keen industry contributor. He made his debut as a presenter at the MEA NSW Student Insight event in 2006, and has conducted many informative sessions since. He also sits on the MEA NSW PD committee, and is a proud recognised AFMEA. Whenever he’s not in an airport or a ballroom, he can be found in the lobby bar, with his guitar, entertaining the travelling crew. |

His corporate life involved research & development of new medicinal products, regional business responsibilities in Europe, the Nordic countries and North America and a senior management position upon returning to Australia. After the corporate life he founded Pharma Events and later Avanti Events event management agencies based in Sydney. David created Avanti Events to engage client relationships which inspire and excite. It is an award winning business built on strong ethics, excellent client relationships and a recognised network of industry peers. A diverse client base has allowed Avanti Events to grow across corporate industry sectors and a range of association bodies. Janette Beedell, Event/Conference Director, Targeted Program Management Having now started up her own events business, Targeted Program Management, Janette has over 15 years experience in management positions for major corporations. Janette’s professional background includes Marketing and Events Manager for the Financial Planning Association and with ING Australia. Delivering both domestic and international events, Janette can provide a perspective that would not be available from just any event organiser. Janette understands the intricacies and needs of organising large scale events. From large based sponsorship programs to managing Australia’s largest finance industry conference, it was experience with all aspects of creating, driving, building, growing and delivering that ensured these multi-million dollar events were a success. |
